  • The Street Department made city-wide ditch maintenance and drainage improvements; and, as part of the City's brush collection program, picked up vegetative debris and brush once a month in each quadrant of the City.

  • Pinto Construction Company was awarded the bid for the Seal Coat Street Improvement Project for approximately 12,000 square yards of seal coat work on streets in the northeast quadrant of the City.

  • The Department installed reflective stop signs throughout the City and provided maintenance to the City street signs as necessary.

  • The City Council approved the Municipal Maintenance Agreement with the State of Texas for maintenance of state highways within the City of Livingston.  Council also approved an ordinance reducing speed limits on State Highway 146 South near Church Street.

  • Engineers from the Texas Department of Transportation advised the City Council of pending and future TxDOT constrution projects.  The projects included the installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Business Highway 59 and Highway 146 as well as the pending redesign of the existin gsignal at the intersection of US 190 West and FM 350 South.  Other projects include routine mill and overlay maintenance schedules for various State highways in the area.
